Organic Farmers & Growers Ltd
We've been working with OF&G for more than four years. The company is an organic certification body working across the UK. Organics is a rapidly growing sector from the point of view of farmers, food manufacturers and consumers.
All organic production is regulated by law and OF&G is one of a number of certification bodies which producers of organic food and other products can choose from.
The company needs a high profile to compete in its market place (in which it is number two in the UK). OF&G is also a voice for its licensees, representing their interests at all levels of government and within the industry generally.
Working with Waugh Communications, OF&G has featured across the national media, including the Radio Five Live Drive, with Peter Allen and Jane Garvey, the Jeremy Vine Show on Radio Two, Five Live's Wake Up to Money, numerous contributions to Radio Four's Farming Today, ITV News, Country File, BBC World Service and regular contributions to BBC local radio and TV.
Additionally, OF&G is regularly mentioned in the national newspapers (quoted in front page lead story in The Guardian and Metro) and across the farming and food processing press. Many news organisations now turn to OF&G for comment on organics related issues.
In 2005 we redeveloped and relaunched the OF&G website, putting more information at the fingertips of its customers and other visitors. This has led to a huge increase in use of the website as an information source and contact channel for the company. The company regularly receives compliments on the useability of and presentation of its site.
OF&G Chief Executive, Richard Jacobs, said: "Our relationship with Waugh Communications has been a great success. Our profile has improved hugely and we receive regular coverage in all forms of media. We've also worked together to enhance the quality of the information we produce for our licensees and prospective clients.
"When we released the results of a major survey of 4,000 organic farmers, Waugh Communications ensured we made headlines across the media, both mainstream and trade. Now major news organisations turn to us for comment and analysis on a regular basis."
